Swedish Massage - Ideal for clients looking to relax and de-stress or reduce tension. Pressure ranges from extremely light to firm or moderate. In-room aromatherapy treatment with quality Essential Oils and hot towels are included.
One of the most commonly taught and well-known massage techniques, Swedish massage is a vigorous system of treatment designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation. The many benefits of Swedish massage may include generalized relaxation, dissolution of scar tissue adhesions, and improved circulation, which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury.   Back to Top

Deep Tissue/Deep Muscle Massage - A more aggressive approach to tension reduction, deep tissue is ideal for clients looking to reduce and/or break up knots/adhesions and reduce/relieve pain from muscular issues. Pressure ranges from firm or moderate to very deep.* In-room aromatherapy treatment with quality Essential Oils and hot towels are included.
Techniques that utilize deep-tissue/deep-muscle massage are administered to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia. It helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendinitis. It is generally integrated with other massage techniques.
*The muscles must be relaxed in order to effectively perform deep-tissue massage, otherwise tight surface muscles prevent the practitioner from reaching deeper musculature.  Back to Top

Prenatal (Pregnancy) Massage - Treatment specifically for expectant mothers, prenatal massage is designed to help relax both mother and baby. Pressure ranges from extremely light, feather-like to light or soft touch. Typically performed in a side-lying position for optimal comfort. Due to the delicate nature of pregnancy, deeper pressure is contraindicated and hot towels are not included. Aromatherapy is provided on a case-by-case basis, and is limited to quality Essential Oils that have been deemed safe for pregnancy.
PLEASE NOTE: If in the first trimester, please obtain a release from your physician prior to scheduling/arrival of appointment. There are many changes to your body during this period, and this to ensure massage during this period is safe for both you and your baby.
Performed by a trained specialist, many methods of massage and somatic therapies are both effective and safe prenatally and during labor and postpartum periods of women's pregnancies. Prenatally, specific techniques can reduce pregnancy discomforts and concerns and enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and baby. During delivery, skilled, appropriate touch facilitates labor, shortening labor times and easing pain and anxiety. In the postpartum period, specialized techniques rebalance structure, physiology, and emotions of the new mother and may help her to bond with and care for her infant. Specialized, advanced training in the anatomy, physiology, complications, precautions, and contraindications is highly recommended, and many practitioners require referrals from physicians prior to therapy.   Back to Top
